Sunday lunch at The White Lion, delicious as always. Quite a nice day for the time of year.

Paul busy on shower, pottered round tidying the garden, went up the Swan to watch 2nd half of Everton game. My hanging basket is still going strong.

Had a great evening with Les, hadn't seen her since our Leo arrived so had plenty to gab about, reminiscing about previous holidays, had a good laugh looking at all the old photos. This is Almeria for Paul's 50th.

Nice bright day, did a bit of shopping, Kenny came for tea, did my usual chicken and chorizo dish, it went down well, had a lovely 15 mins on the skype with Lucy and Leo and finally put the finishing touches so that Barbie and her friends can live in comfort!

Still in a christmas mood, went to Burleydam with Andy for lunch and purchased a LED tree for the garden, love it.

Zena and I had our first Christmas Dinner at Morrisons, wasn't bad considering it was only £4.75! Paul away in Scotland so called in on Colette and boys for a cup of tea on my way home then decided to tackle Barbie's Dream Townhouse that Zena is giving to Mia for Christmas, I might be here sometime!

Lazy day, done a bit of visiting, White Lion for lunch, nice chat with Sean. Paul got a new wagon so we went down to view, it was very nice!

Up to Date !

Took mum shopping, had a lovely morning, came home to a skype call with my beautiful grandson (and beautiful son) watched Ken feed and wind him, the joys of modern technology, thank you Steve Jobs et al.

Friday 18.11.11


Met Kenny for a quick drink at Wethers, Sea Breeze for tea, best cantonese spare ribs ever. Watched Eclipse - bring on Breaking Dawn !

Never seen 15% wine before, also suits Mrs T as it mean Blue Barb !!

Thursday 17.11.11


Nails done, showed photos of Leo to all the girls, dark at 4.30pm, drove to work so Paul & I went for a walk.

This one was 2 days before the man arrived. Lucy looks great.

Wednesday 16.11.11


Finally got around to visiting Pam, had a lovely evening talking about our grandsons, enjoyed a glass of red wine and take-away from Nice which was very nice!

Got lots of lovely congratulation cards but this is one is a bit special.

Walked to work again, Paul on mad 2am shift so quiet night with kindle seemed like the best idea.

In Seville, went to Alcazar alone and managed to get lost in the gardens, got a bit of a fright, the gardens were fantastic though.

Not much going on, Lucy is keeping me up to date with daily photos of Leo, which I am made up with, walked to work and felt better for it.

Whilst at Arcos, I ate rabbit and got to say it was delightful.

Paul working - I gave the house a good clean then settled down to watch Twilight and New Moon, I am reading Eclipse at the moment in prep for Breaking Dawn. Sean is not happy!!

Fast train to Seville - (¿Preferente? - Si, por favor)

Went to Liverpool to visit my lovely Auntie Vera, she was in hospital after breaking her hip, she is on the mend and looked really well. Had a quiet night in watching Curb.

This was our lunch last Saturday.

Armistice day - went to Colette's for tea, joined by Tanya & Sara which was nice, Col cooked a delicious dinner, nice to see the boys too.

Back to work, didn't do much til about 10.30am, too busy talking about and showing pictures of Leo.

This was taken the day Leo was born at Plaza de Espana in Seville.

Our last day for this trip, spent the morning with Ken, Lucy & Leo, quite sad to say goodbye to the little fella, had a great time though seen loads and of course the added joy of our beautiful grandson.

Pictures don't match days as there are so many to put on but sticking to one a day, Sean & Fi's last day.

Had a good explore around the city, shopping on Gran Via and a great menu del dia at a place near Major, Sean & Fi's last visit to see Leo for a few months, lovely evening in La Latina trying out lots of tapas !

El Rastro - only place to be on a Sunday morning, came across a food festival in Plaza Major, then off to a cable car over the city, spent some time with Leo and had a great evening out with Sean & Fi.

Also Fi's first visit to Museum of Ham

Big day - meeting Leo, he is amazing, Ken & Lucy so happy and relaxed and enjoying him, met Sean & Fi, they had just arrived from Istanbul, off to El Brilliante for Fi's first taste of Madrid.

Back to Seville - this is a beautiful city, stayed at a 30 euro a night hostel - from one extreme to another, I think they put a double mattress on a single frame ! Amazingly had a great nights sleep. Ate at a place we saw on Rick Stein's Spain, Ramon's - food delicious, waitress was great fun, made up we had seen her on TV.

Bus to Jerez, was hoping to go to a bodega to see the sherry being made but got side tracked and ended up just exploring the city, it was quite amazing, tried the fino, definitely an acquired taste, 4th hotel in 6 days !

Got the bus to Arcos de la Frontera - stayed at a Parador hotel, it was beautiful, still on a high, but managed to enjoy the town, showed Leo's photo to all the hotel staff and guests! http://www.paradores-spain.com/spain/pafrontera.html

Leo has arrived ! Got fast train from Madrid to Seville yesterday, spent the morning at Plaza de Espana - amazing, couldn't concentrate as waiting for news from Ken, got the call at 12ish - what a great day.
