Monday 30.1.12

Spent the day in Chester for Sean and Fi's last day of their hols, had a cream tea by the river, a good walk around the walls and then some retail therapy, lovely day.

Sunday 29.1.12

Checked out an allotment, not sure about it though, White Lion for lunch with Colette then spent some time with the boys, nice day.

Saturday 28.1.12

Had a great day, stopped at Conwy so Fi could see a castle then onto Llandudno for a good walk along the front and pier, had a delicious lunch at The Albert, Sean & Fi off to Chester for a catch up with his mates so Paul and I enjoyed a couple of films and a relax.

Friday 27.1.12

Sean & Fi went to Liverpool, did the new museum, Liverpool One and got the ferry over, we went for a drink at The Swan and The Bull then came home to play on the Wii.

Thursday 26.1.12

Sean & Fi back from Madrid, they had a great time with Ken, Lucy and of course Leo, this was their pressie for the little fella.

Wednesday 25.1.12

Visited Dot in hospital, had major op 5 days ago and looked fab, went to Barbs later for a gab and a catch up.

Dot - 79 years young.

Tuesday 24.1.12

Dropped Sean & Fi off at John Lennon this morning, love this one sent by Lucy.

Monday 23.1.12

Nice walk with Sean after work, they are packed and ready for Madrid tomorrow, Sean loved his new converse.

Sunday 22.1.12

Introduced Fi to Mum and Reg, had a nice visit, down to Eastham for a walk then White Lion for lunch, just chilled out in the evening chatting and watched a bit of TV.

Saturday 21.1.12

Sean & Fi arrived at 12 o'clock, had a few snacks then over to Liverpool, delicious meal at Jacques then a good walk around the city, Fi especially loved The Phil.

Walked to Scania with Paul to pick up car, I took this whilst waiting outside, it was quite nippy!

Had a major clear out of wardrobe - found things I had forgotten I had, some still tagged! Charity shop will be pleased, later watched Limitless, seen it before but it's well worth another viewing.

Work then walked to mums for exercise and very fresh air!

More pottering about in garden, still very cold, walked to White Lion for Sunday lunch, spent some time with the boys before bed and watched Danish TV program - Borgen - looks very promising.

Spent the day in the garden and it was freezing, done some good work though, 1st of many trips to the tip.

Went to Colette's for tea, sirloin steak and salad, we are both on a health kick and it was delicious, this is Haydn - Champ of the house at FIFA 2012 !

Tried another of Rick's Spanish recipes, Pardina lentils, serrano ham and white wine, it was very tasty.

Back to work, missing Leo (and his mum & dad) took this when we went for a walk yesterday, Madrid on the 9th January - beautiful weather.

Monday 9.1.12

Last day in Madrid, Lucy had meeting so I got Leo all to myself for the morning, had a lovely time with him, he is just amazing.

Sunday 8.1.12

Had a lovely day out with Lucy and Leo, walked to Sol and went into a few shops, Ken and I had decided to try a couple of recipes from Rick Steins Spain as Lucy had bought the book for Paul, cooked 3 courses, a great success.

This is mussels in tomato vinaigrette.

Saturday 7.1.12

Just enjoying chilling with Ken, Lucy and Leo, Paul going home today so decided to eat near Atocha at a really nice Thai place then Paul caught the bus to the airport.

Los Reyes - went for a long walk with Ken down by the river, lunch at Europa Cafe was delicious, Leo was as good as gold. Had some lovely nibbles later, watched Charlie Brooker New Year Show, very funny. Got some lovely pressies from Lucy & Ken.

Very windy morning, arrived in Madrid to a beautiful afternoon, really sunny, Paul and Leo really enjoyed each others company!

Off to Madrid tomorrow - still had a few euro left from last time, can't wait to see Leo.

Back to work, high winds made for a rubbish sleep, so noisy. Braved the wind for a pre-dinner drink at the Swan, this is my new hat - christmas pressie from Zena.

Walked to Mums and back, did a bit of shopping, Paul cooked stuffed aubergines, very tasty.

Met Jan & Gaz for a walk up Conway Mountain, got soaked through but had a great morning.

Went to Llandudno for New Years Eve, had a great evening, met some great people and had a lovely night.

Last day at work in 2011, went to Carvery for dinner then watched Warrior, it wasn't bad.
